Join Us in Supporting
Our Veterans
Veterans in Missouri face significant challenges:
-
Over 546 veterans were experiencing homelessness in Missouri as of January 2024, despite a 9% decrease from the previous year.
-
Nearly 1 million Missouri residents experienced a mental illness in the past year, and approximately 750,000 faced a substance use disorder.
-
Among veterans nationwide, more than 80% of those with substance use disorders struggle with alcohol use, and nearly 27% report misuse of illegal drugs.
-
Female veterans experiencing homelessness are more likely to experience PTSD and military sexual trauma, and many are caring for dependent children.
