Our Programs & Services

RecoVET provides comprehensive, veteran-focused care designed to support recovery, independence, and long-term success.

RecoVET is dedicated to empowering veterans in our supportive living program by facilitating meaningful connections with social service organizations and behavioral healthcare providers throughout the St. Louis Metro Area. Through these partnerships, we aim to foster lasting, positive change in the lives of those we serve.

RecoVET has established strong collaborative relationships with key community partners, including the Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA), the Salvation Army, CAFE, and the Gibson Center for Behavioral Change. These partnerships are initially supported by RecoVET peer support specialists, who accompany residents in our transitional living program to ensure their physical, mental, and emotional health needs are comprehensively addressed.

At RecoVET, we understand that adults navigating transitional phases in life often face a range of challenges that require a strong foundation of essential life skills.

Developing these skills is critical for managing the increasing complexities of everyday life.

Whether it's financial literacy, emotional intelligence, effective communication, or time management, life skills serve as the building blocks for personal growth, resilience, and long-term stability.

Our training programs are designed to equip individuals with practical tools and strategies that empower them to confidently handle life’s challenges and pursue meaningful, independent living.

TESTIMONIAL

Inspirational Story of Hope

I'm so veryGrateful for RecoVET!!! From the minute I walked in the front door. I was welcomed into the RecoVET family. With open arms. From the structured setting to work on myself and my Addiction. RecoVET has been a life saving program for me. I'm quickly approaching 1yr Clean and Sober. All made possible through RecoVET!!! This is the longest amount of Clean and Sober time. That I've had since my early High School years (1976-1979). I've totally changed my life around. Since being at RecoVET. I've found the Comradery that I have missed. Since I served in the ARMY (1980-1984). THANK GOD for RecoVET Healthcare!!! - Gary

Why RecoVET

Veteran Struggles:

48% of Veterans indicate their transitions to civilian life is more difficult than expected.

70-76% of homeless veterans experience alcohol, drug, or co-occurring mental health problems.

2nd leading cause of death in veterans under the age of 45 is suicide.

All Things Addiction

In this powerful episode, T.C, a 49-year-old U.S. Army veteran, opens up about his journey through substance use, loss, incarceration, and redemption. Born into a family of addiction in rural Virginia, Travis’s story reveals how trauma and resilience can coexist — and how recovery and purpose are always possible.

Testimonial

What a wonderful place for those who served our country to have to go and seek rehabilitation with what they suffer with or from, from the top to the bottom from the organizers, the staffing to the clients.... only here can you be in the company of true HEROES and all the amazing people that take care of them... I thank each and every one of you for the service you give. -S.H

In The Community highlights the experiences our veterans share outside of our programs—participating in local events, volunteering, and enjoying recreational outings. These activities foster camaraderie, build confidence, and reinforce the importance of belonging. Each outing is an opportunity to engage, grow, and celebrate achievements together.
